RED Day 2017 Renew, Energize and Donate May 11, 2017

May 9, 2017 by Larry Lawfer

RED Day 2017 Renew, Energize and Donate is May 11, 2017.  The Keller Williams Boston Southwest office located at 680 High Street, Westwood, MA 02090 is donating their collective, time, talent, sweet treats and hard work with The Arc of South Norfolk.

RED Day 2017 Renew, Energize and Donate

ARCofSN-mission

The Arc’s mission is one that resonates with me personally. So for this day of service we arrive mid morning and do all the Spring clean up and planting.  This will be my fourth visit to the facility.  Service to the community is a large component to every good Realtor®.  It is one of those good to great differentiator’s in this business.  At these political times I think there is value and, in fact, pride and joy in doing for others.  Lending a hand, helping a neighbor, building a community from the ground up is built on the kind acts of those who live there.

These acts become the fabric in which the communities are woven.

Red Day was started by Mo Anderson. Introduced in 2009, RED Day, which stands for Renew, Energize and Donate, is Keller Williams Realty’s annual day of service. Each year on the second Thursday of May, associates celebrate Mo Anderson’s birthday by spending the day away from their businesses serving worthy organizations and causes in their communities. RED Day is just another example of our commitment to each other and to the cities and towns where we live and work.

Charles-River-Center-Caring

In the afternoon we head to another facility to put on an ice cream social and perhaps dance a bit at the Charles River Center in Needham.

Mission: To empower and support people with developmental disabilities by offering high-quality, individualized opportunities that foster independence and community inclusion.

Red Day is special, but giving back and helping others is not a once a year activity.  What’s your story?
