Day 18 of 90 My Best Practices Real Estate 2018 has me struggling with the process. It is all well and good to have gotten 4 listings this month already, then reality sets in. OMG, marketing, signs, calls, circle marketing, door knocking, what else, what have I missed occupies space with discipline of prospecting, making the calls, following up is diverting energy and focus. Setting goals is a good thing, keeping your goals is another. All of us want more and most of us will get more if we follow the best practices. What I struggle with is the daily routines and keeping them. If I don’t catch myself I am off and running on transactional details of these listings in the morning first thing before I pick up the big rock. Today is such a day.
Pulling myself back in line is a process in and of itself. I have motivational and inspirational tapes, books, and youtube videos to watch and listen to. I have meditation and yoga, I have exercise and healthy eating and I also have doubts I continue to let creep back in and infect the day. Being aware of the creeping in is critical to turning it back. This, this moment is the moment I can get back in line, or throw the hands up and say it just can’t be done. These silent few moments of doubt bring all the juices up that have been there for so many years. This is what must be broken through, this is the grinding that keeps us on track.
Yesterday in the rain and wind and celebration of another Boston Marathon, I made no calls. I did speak to clients and showed property and set up open houses, but none of the prospecting. Today will be better because it is a new day, Day 18 of 90 My Best Practices Real Estate 2018
