Milton Wikipedia. Milton was settled around 1640. It became a town in 1660. It is located south of Boston along the Neponset River and the Blue Hills. It is an affluent community of highly educated individuals.  It is often on the lists of one of the Top Towns in the US in which to live.  Milton is a rather large town geographically and it includes many diverse neighborhoods. There are pond views and highway views.  There a cul de sac’s and Lane’s.  There is the Blue Hills Reservation and their is the Cunningham Pool.
